With extensive experience in hedge model plantings for citrus and other crops globally, Agromillora is now applying this expertise to citrus production in Florida. The collaboration between Agromillora and Lost Lake Groves to introduce the Citrus Hedge Model to Florida Growers demonstrating an innovative solution to control production costs via mechanization.

The grove was planted in May 2018 and has experienced impressive growth. Just over a year after planting, the trees were already 4-feet tall and had developed an extensive root system. Today, the trees range from 7-feet to 8-feet tall with a 3-foot width. They are expected to top out at 10 feet, which allows this Citrus grove to be mechanically maintained & harvested, leading to labor savings and increase returns to the grower's pocket.
